“Amazing how well you implement the first-person point of view… Hackneyed and cliche, some have said, but there’s just something about good writers and first person novels. You are definitely in one of them. Your voice really comes through. Some people will disagree and say, ‘Well of course. He’s writing in first person. It’s suppose to engage you in such a way.’ But I would have to say that not all first-person novels come through as clean as yours does. Simply amazing.”

Going by the codename of Takatsu, (or taka-chan in short) and preferring to wield a trusty smartphone, he never fails to deliver. Words that is.

The author of Secondhand Memories, the back bone and pioneer of cell phone novels in North America has been writing since he was 10, an avid fan of absurdism, anime, drama, metalcore and pink things. Since then, he has started countless and an uncountable number of novels, some having only a first paragraph, some over a hundred pages, all of which have never been finished.

Enter Secondhand Memories, the first and most popular cell phone novel in North America. A novel he has become determined to see through, with the much-needed support and input of online readers and fans all over the globe, and an undying love for plugging away on a mobile phone, “taka-chan” brings to you novels full of depth, emotion and twists that will for sure inspire some sort of philosophical or existential theories. Catch him on the subway, in a cafe, on a plane, in a park, in the bathroom or in bed typing and typing on that little trusty cell phone screen.

The 20-year-old university student hopes that one day cell phone novels will be a movement sweeping across North America and subsequently the world changing the face of writing and publishing industry with the new form of art and literature combining poetry, narration and the visual arts in the careful use of white space, line breaks, punctuation and rhythm. (For more information on cell phone novels: http://tiny.cc/textnovel)

The Author and Secondhand Memories in the Media

Okay.. that’s enough said, but on a more personal account, I’m a friendly, easy going person who’d love to get to know you! So don’t hesitate to hit me up!

I kind of get intense when it comes to dreams, big visions, my passions, the future, stuff like that. I’m all about the big picture and fighting for dreams, no matter how impossible it seems. Dreams will become reality. I’m into writing, song-writing, singing, playing guitar, drawing, painting, and a variety of art related stuff. Other than that, I tend to rant a lot, be insightful, philosophical, and always seek deeper meanings. As well as being more interested in selfless, giving, happy, open-minded people! Selfishness is my biggest pet peeve. :P

I love to share, so contact me! I don’t bite! Love to hear from you all, my lovely friends, readers, and fellow writers! Thanks so much for all the support throughout the years.

“Where there’s passion, there’s a dream. Where there’s a dream, there’s a journey. Where there’s a journey, there’s struggle. Where there’s struggle, there’s victory.” – Takatsu
